Midlands Area Brass Band Championships

The Second Section of the Midlands Area Brass Band Championships 2026 takes place on Sunday 15th March at The Civic, Bedworth, bringing together talented bands from across the region to compete at a high musical level.

Each band will perform the set test piece, “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”, a thrilling and imaginative work inspired by Jules Verne’s classic tale. The piece challenges performers with vivid musical storytelling, technical precision, and dynamic contrasts, creating an exciting experience for both adjudicators and audiences alike.

As part of the official qualification process for the National Brass Band Championships, the Second Section promises a full day of competitive performances, showcasing the depth of talent within the Midlands brass band scene.
