All the Fun at the Festival

There was plenty of sunshine and good vibes at the European Brass Band Festival today in our home city of Birmingham.

CBBB did the city proud alongside the brilliant Langley Band who also performed. We’re delighted to have been given the chance to play as part of the festival’s free outdoor programme celebrating brass bands and showcasing a variety of styles of music from different community and youth bands.

Thanks to Brass Bands England for hosting and for inviting us to perform for this musical festival.

Gig – Spring Event

City of Birmingham Brass Band will be playing at Longbridge Retirement Village on Sat 9th April 1-2pm for their Spring Event – open to all to attend.

A fantastic place, full of families enjoying time together in a relaxed, fun environment. The band are really looking forward to performing for residents and visitors in our first spring outing.

Jubilee Celebrations

Today, Her Majesty The Queen celebrates 70 years on the throne. We had to start our rehearsal with a tribute on this special anniversary of the Platinum Jubilee.

Keep an eye out for other Jubilee events we may be involved with later this year as part of the official celebrations.

Carols galore!

Despite the difficulties that Covid-19 brings, we have been spreading Christmas joy with carols.

In small, socially distanced groups, members of CBBB provided some festive cheer to the shoppers and passers-by in Birmingham City Centre, Hatton Adventure World, Morrisons supermarket, Grand Central Station and Hagley Road Retirement Village.

Thank you to all the venues and the public for their support during this time. We wish you all a very merry Christmas.
