CBBB responds to Covid-19 outbreak

In light of recent official Government and Public Health advice, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all our rehearsals and concerts for the foreseeable future.

It has not been easy but the health of our players and audiences is the priority and we have made this decision to protect the wider community.

We will be following Government guidance as the situation changes and hope that we will be able to return to rehearsals as soon as possible.

To keep us entertained in the meantime, we’ll be reminding you of some of the events the band has been involved with in the past, and introducing you to some of our band members…

Thank you for your continued support, we’ll be back in action as soon as we can.

Keep in touch with us through Facebook and Twitter!

CBBB takes part in Commonwealth Day

It’s been a busy time for the band. Riding high on the results from the Midlands Area contest, the band took part in a Commonwealth Ceremony on Monday at the Council House, Birmingham.

Alongside Birmingham City Council Choir, Claire Noakes, and Eternal Taal the band performed to dignitaries, faith leaders and congregation in a celebration of friendship.

It was an honour to be part of this event to mark this special day in our home city.

Birmingham Brass secures a place at the Nationals

We’re over the moon to have taken second place in the 4th section at yesterday’s Midlands Area Brass Band Championships!

Whilst everyone else cheered on the announcement of their results we were a bit stunned to silence…

The result was well deserved as the band put in an excellent performance of ‘Neverland’ at Kenilworth. A huge thank you to all band members for putting in the hard work over the last few months which really paid off.

A thank you also goes our to our Musical Director Saphran Ali who guided us through, gave us the direction we needed and brought the band together to secure our place at the Nationals Competition later this year.

We’re off to Cheltenham in September!
