An afternoon performance in the beautiful Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
A summer performance on the bandstand at Walsall Arboretum.
Our annual performance at the bandstand in Stratford upon Avon.
We’ll be playing a variety of music to entertain including songs from the musicals, marches, and popular tunes.
There was plenty of sunshine and good vibes at the European Brass Band Festival today in our home city of Birmingham.
CBBB did the city proud alongside the brilliant Langley Band who also performed. We’re delighted to have been given the chance to play as part of the festival’s free outdoor programme celebrating brass bands and showcasing a variety of styles of music from different community and youth bands.
Thanks to Brass Bands England for hosting and for inviting us to perform for this musical festival.
Our summer gig at Stratford Bandstand.
Summer bandstand concert at Walsall Arboretum.
Sunshine was out and the audience were in good spirits for an afternoon of music at Trentham Gardens.
We began with the march of ‘Castell Coch’ to get everyone in the mood for the brass band performance. A mix of film music including ‘Bedknobs and Broomsticks’ and ‘Theme from Shrek’ were popular and we finished the first half with an ‘Oliver’ medley (great singalong!).
Opening the second half was a second march ‘Death or Glory’ before we slowed it down with the ballad ‘Love Changes Everything’.
Our finale was the classic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ which had everyone tapping their feet and once again singing along.
We made the most of the weather with a well deserved picnic. Katy’s cheese scones went down a treat – thanks!
